MONTPELLIER - Last weekend the European Judo Championships took place in Montpellier, France. Judo Belgium sent twelve judokas to this EJU European Championship. This time it was not a success for the Belgians. Almost all Team Belgium judokas were eliminated in the preliminary round. Two judokas, Matthias Casse (JV) and Jorre Verstraeten (JWB), were able to advance to the podium. However, both just missed out on a medal and finished in fifth place.
